The BMW M2 Coupe returns to our attention with a new image set, this time in Mineral Grey. The high-performance two-door coupe seems to be a US-spec car and was caught in the open just a few day ago.

Besides the aforementioned color, the model also comes in Long Beach Blue Metallic, Alpine White and Black Sapphire. However, regardless of the bodywork paint, the interior features black Dakota leather upholstery with blue stitching, carbon fiber and Alcantara trimming.

Under the hood, there is a 3.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged straight six-cylinder capable of sending 370 PS (365 HP) and 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) of torque to the rear wheels through either a standard six-speed manual or an optional seven-speed DCT gearbox. Hitting 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill takes 4.5 seconds with the manual and 4.3 seconds with the dual-clutch transmission, while top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).

The new BMW M2 Coupe laps the Nurburgring in 7 minutes and 58 seconds, 6 seconds slower than its big sister, the M4 Coupe. The successor of the 1M Coupe will start from £44,070 ($67,200) in the UK. The high-performance two-door car will reach US showrooms next spring, though its price tag has yet to be announced.
