Koenigsegg To Bring Regera And One:1 At New York Auto Show

The two Swedish hypercars are coming to New York, with the Regera making its official North American debut.

After the global reveal of the production Regera at Geneva, Koenigsegg will bring the hybrid 1500hp Bugatti-killing model to the New York Auto Show.

Featuring Koenigsegg’s Direct Drive system, the Regera can claim that it virtually has no gearbox as it uses power from the three electric motors combined with just a single final drive to drive the rear wheels.

Next to the Regera will be the other masterpiece of Koenigsegg, the One:1. Named after its one-to-one power to weight ratio, the 1360hp megacar has to move just 1360kg. The Swedish maker build just seven of them, with the NY show car to be the only One:1 that resides to the United States.

It doesn’t happen very often to me, but I just can’t find something undesireable in this Regera. New cars always have a “yeah but” while this…hasn’t.

Oh how I wish I still lived there. I really want to see these in person.
