Former Friends star was left shaken after an incident that could have turned into a tragedy.

While filming in South Africa, last month, Matt LeBlanc decided to take a spin in a Porsche that the show was reviewing. What he didn’t realize was that a cameraman was laying on the ground, shooting static footage of the sports car, as Mirror reports, quoting an insider. Luckily, he was spotted by another cameraman, who managed to grab LeBlanc’s attention:

The crew member was completely oblivious Matt was about to speed off too, – but a tracking cameraman, who sat in the distance, could see what was about to happen and started waving and screaming at Matt to stop.”

Confused by the crew member’s waving and screaming, the Top Gear presenter got out of the car and he quickly realized what could have happened. The incident left LeBlank “noticeably shaken up” and he needed to take a few hours off. When he came back, he wanted to know if the cameraman was OK and both of them “appreciated what a lucky escape it was“, added the show insider.

BBC’s revamped Top Gear seems to be followed by bad luck lately, starting with Chris Evans being called a “control freak” by a producer who quit, and continuing with the Cenotaph stunt and their Russian adventure, when the crew was denied access to Kazakhstan.
