A man wearing a rather creepy clown costume was spotted by a shocked driver in Detroit, while hitching a ride on the back of a moving bus.

The clown costume, according to The Mirror, was comprised of a menacing mask with pink hair and a “long white shirt or jacket”, which altogether makes for a pretty creepy sighting, especially for people who are actually scared of clowns.

“It’s a f****** clown. Get the f*** out of here,” said the driver that witnessed the whole thing – and frankly, his amazement comes as little surprise. Of course, the real issue is the so-called “Creepy Clown Craze” that gained momentum in the US back in August and even reached UK shores recently.

These activities include people dressed like clowns looking to frighten motorists and pedestrians alike, and there have even been incidents with clowns having approached schoolchildren.

“The safety of our riders is DDOT’s number one priority and that is why we have significantly increased our Transit Police presence and have installed surveillance cameras inside and outside of all of our DDOT coaches,” said a spokesperson for the Detroit Department of Transportation.

Another video surfaced recently of police officers confronting two men dressed as clowns in the city of Menasha, Wisconsin. One of the individuals was even arrested after authorities learned that he had left a small child at home alone.
