Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon Edition Launched In The UK, Priced From £40,505

Jeep is launching a new limited edition of the Wrangler called the Rubicon Recon in the UK. First revealed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, the new Wrangler Rubicon Recon focuses on offering improved off-road capability thanks to hardware updates such as a stronger front axle and heavy-duty cast rear differential covers.

The new limited version is based on the existing Wrangler Rubicon model and adds features like a set of 18-inch Low Gloss Granite Crystal alloy, a black dual top (with both soft top and hardtop options) and a dual-vented Power Dome hood with a Rubicon decal. There is also a Trail Rated logo, a black fuel-filler door and a black hard spare-wheel cover.

The interior features a black-red theme, with red accent stitching on the standard black leather heated seats. The front door armrests and the console lid are wrapped in black vinyl while the front door pockets and the center console feature red accent netting with matching seatbelts.

Customers can choose between the two- and four-door bodystyles, with the sole engine option to be the 284hp 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 paired to a five-speed automatic gearbox. There are also three exterior colors availalble: Gobi, Bright White and Granite Crystal.

The new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon is priced from £40,505 for the two-door version and from £42,175 for the four-door one and is already available in the UK.
