All-Black AC Schnitzer-Tuned BMW i8 Is What KITT Would Look Like Today

The BMW i8 is still one of the world’s most visually appealing cars thanks to its futuristic looks and strong road presence.

Add a little AC Schnitzer magic to the mix and you’ll be left with a very aggressive looking plug-in hybrid, one that will send a powerful message to anybody who happens to come upon it.

This particular one is wearing all-black and is almost sinister to look at. Let’s put it this way: if Tony Stark drives an Audi R8, then we could definitely see The Mandarin driving something like this. Sorry for the “Mandarin” reference, but he’s the only real archenemy Marvel ever produced for Iron Man.

Anyway, captured on camera by Autogespot user Sanvr2202 in Geel, Belgium, this i8 packs custom aerodynamic components such as the front spoiler elements, side skirts and the rear wing. It also sits 25 mm (0.98 in) closer to the road at the front, and 20 mm (0.78 in) closer at the rear – thus ensuring better stability in cornering situations.

Last but not least, instead of the tuner’s dual-tone AC1 forged alloys, the owner of this car decided to go with a set of dark bronze HRE wheels instead.

Looks great in black with those bronze HRE wheels….

  • SteersUright

Certainly looks tons less goofy than the regular i8. Still can’t stand the rear lights, should’ve tinted those or somehow made them more subdued and less obvious.

Those HRE’s are sexy. Love this car.
