The five-seat Lexus RX has received a special edition model Down Under, called Crafted, which is limited to 300 examples.

It’s based on the entry-level Luxury grade to which it adds a AUD $7,100 (USD $5,304) premium, and it’s available with the RX 300 Turbo, RX 350 V6 petrol and RX 450h hybrid. Pricing starts from AUD $81,351 (USD $60,773) for the base model, with all versions featuring black accents on the grille, fog lamp bezels, side mirror caps and rear bumper, and sit on 20″ black alloys.

Normally reserved for higher grades, the 12.3-inch infotainment screen, color head-up display, Mark Levinson premium sound system and moonroof are all offered as standard on the SUV. Other premium features include the leather trim, heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, Bluetooth, USB and AUX ports and keyless entry&go.

The new Lexus RX Crafted doesn’t cut back on driving assistance gizmos either. It packs the Lexus Safety System +, which includes autonomous emergency braking and pre-collision safety system with pedestrian detection. Also, the SUV gets a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, reversing camera, radar active cruise control, bi-LED headlights, LED cornering lights and rain-sensing wipers.

The only optional extra announced by the Japanese automaker is the premium paint, priced at AUD $1,500 (USD $1,121).
