Camaro, Blazer And Corvette ZR1 Are The Sharp End Of Chevy’s Lineup

As a mass-market automaker, Chevrolet produces a whole lot of different vehicles: hatchbacks, sedans, coupes, convertibles, crossovers, sport-utes, commercial vans, pickup trucks… even EVs. Just take a look at these latest reader-submitted spy shots from our man Brett.

Spotted in various states of dress while undergoing testing are just three of Chevy’s many models in their latest forms: a Camaro RS, a Corvette ZR1, and a couple of new Blazers.

These are all models we’ve seen unveiled already and they don’t show anything new, though some have some camo wrap here and there. But the scope of them – and the notion that they represent but a small proportion – shows just how varied the Bowtie brand’s lineup really is.

One of the largest in the industry, we’d say. As the principal brand of General Motors, still one of the largest automakers in the world, Chevy offers a robust lineup in the U.S. as its current range includes the Spark, Sonic, Cruze, Malibu, Impala, Camaro and Corvette. And those are just the “conventional” passenger cars.

Add to those the Trax, Equinox, Traverse, and Blazer crossovers, the Tahoe and Suburban SUVs, the Colorado and Silverado pickup trucks and the Volt and Bolt EVs, and you’re looking at a wide array of cars and trucks. And that’s before we even get into all the various configurations and trim levels available on each – especially the Silverado, which offers enough choices to make your head spin all on its own.

This trio, though, represents some of the most exciting models that Chevy offers for the 2019 model year. So even after the SS has been discontinued, and before the new mid-engined Corvette arrives, we’re glad to report that the sporting spirit is still alive and well in the Chevrolet offices at GM’s Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit.

What is the point of this story?

      Tell that to Alex Jones…

    • Mr. EP9

      Slow day.

  • Bash

Actually that blazer front end looks much better than the Camaro.

    • charlotteharry57

No way. Not even close. The Blazer is beyond hideous. I don’t mind the Camaro front end and don’t get what the fuss is about. At all. The Blazer might have to be redesigned in a year or two. Oh, wait. It’s a CUV. CUVs sell no matter what.

      • Bash

        Calm down.

      • Afi Keita James

the new blazer is a disgrace to the original midsize body on frame class truck, I hope the next generation blazer will get back to it’s roots once the bronco comes out.

        • Honda NSX-R

I doubt the next gen Blazer will be a body on frame class truck, once it’s a crossover it will stay as a crossover

    • Nordschleife

      Agreed.

    • Сафиуллина-Мохамед Рамазанов

I am sorry to say that but the side view of the Blazer is all about RX and Murano

      • Bash

        Is that a bad thing?

        • Сафиуллина-Мохамед Рамазанов

Honestly I found a lot of people hate this hanging rear pillars of both Murano and RX for no reason

          • Bash

Oh the C-pillar is hideous, I agree, but the beauty of the front end and the interior kinda distracts you from that, I guess.

  • Rocket

    Slow news day I guess.

  • Steve McQueen

Who approved that front end redesign on the Camaro and can I have some of what they’re smoking?

    • Belthronding

      they smoke chevy kush

  • Mr. EP9

Only the Corvette looks good. Well, good compared to all the others. The Camaro is just as ugly as it was when I first saw it and the Blazer is what the Camaro would have looked liked if it was a CUV with better outward visibility.

  • Honda NSX-R

I don’t think the Camaro front end looks that bad. Sure the pre facelift looks more normal to me, but the facelift doesn’t look that bad either. At least Chevy didn’t make the Camaro front-wheel drive, unlike that abomination that is the Blazer.

  • Paul

Am i supposed to be excited or what? Nothing here we haven’t probably already seen.

  • Richkar

The one “Blazer” is a GMC so maybe that is a Jimmy?

  • Wandering_Spirit

What did they do to Camaro’s front?

  • nauticalone

Nothing worth seeing here (all ugly). Chevy really needs some new designers…and improvements to materials quality while at it eh!

  • Blazer – AWFUL!
    Corvette ZR1 – Incredible!
    Camaro – Amazing!
