Porsche has turned the tires of the 2017 Le Mans-winning 919 Hybrid into a series of vinyl records that commemorate the company’s 19 victories at the world’s most famous endurance race.

The tires were shredded and pressed into single-sided vinyl records. Each vinyl includes 24 minutes of audio that details each of the wins Porsche achieved at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Narration has been handled by a number of individuals close to Porsche, including Dr. Wolfgang Porsche, Chad McQueen and legendary driver Hans-Joachim Stuck.

The German carmaker has been able to produce 200 vinyls from the 919 Hybrid’s rubber, but just 24 of these will be available to the public. They will be put up for auction on a href=”https://24minutesoflemans.com/”>Porsche website on February 24 at midnight Central European Time and we’re sure that Porsche enthusiasts will snap them up in no time. All proceeds will be donated to Loisirs Pluriel, an organization established to support disabled children in France.

For the vast majority of us who won’t be able to purchase one of the limited-run vinyls, Porsche has been kind enough to upload the audio track to streaming services such as Spotify, Soundcloud, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Deezer, and Amazon Music.

Porsche’s Porsche’s most recent Le Mans victory came in 2017 with drivers Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley, and Earl Bamber. The racing outfit’s victory came despite starting on third place on the grid behind two of the Toyota Gazoo Racing entrants. The race saw two of the Toyotas retire due to separate incidents, while the second Porsche 919 Hybrid was also forced to withdraw from the lead with just four hours remaining. The number 2 Porsche won by a lap over an LMP2 entrant from Jackie Chan DC Racing.
