Nobody likes being stuck in a traffic jam. It doesn’t matter how patient you are and whether or not you have somewhere better to be, traffic jams are a truly miserable, yet inevitable, affair.
For a number of drivers in Texas, however, there is a simple way to avoid traffic jams on one particular motorway.
While we’re not exactly sure which motorway is shown here, you’ll initially notice a white SUV reversing up the on-ramp of the motorway after seeing how much traffic there is. The SUV driver then proceeds to drive along the access road running parallel to the motorway, avoiding all traffic.

Before long, heaps of other motorists follow suit. First up is a lifted Chevrolet pickup which simply drives over the curb, goes up the on-ramp in the wrong direction and proceeds to turn around onto the access road. At least eight other vehicles do the same thing.
If you’re wondering where the police are in all of this, well… they’re coming – and shortly after a stream of cars drive up the on-ramp, flashing lights can be seen in the distance. The timing couldn’t have been worse for a white sedan driving up the on-ramp. In an attempt to avoid the authorities, the driver tries to do a U-turn and go back in the correct direction. The video cuts off here but it appears as though the police didn’t stop the driver and instead likely continued to drive down the on-ramp in an attempt to block it off so no no others would attempt this stunt.
