Roush Performance is paying tribute to its founder by unveiling the Jack Roush Edition Mustang at SEMA.

Designed to celebrate his induction into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, the model has the most powerful engine ever used in a Roush Mustang. In this case, it’s 5.0-liter V8 that has been equipped with a Roush Phase 3 TVS R2650 supercharger. The latter component enables the engine to produce 775 hp (578 kW / 786 PS) and 670 lb-ft (907 Nm) of torque.

Besides the supercharged engine, the Mustang has an active exhaust with four different modes. The model has also been equipped with a heavy duty cooling system that features larger radiators and additional coolers for the engine, transmission and differential.

Other upgrades include a custom-tuned MagneRide suspension and lowering springs. The model also sports forged wheels that are wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires and backed up by a high-performance Brembo braking system.

Speaking of the exterior, it’s undeniably aggressive as the car has been equipped with an “R9 Aero Kit.” It includes a front splitter, a ventilated hood and a rear diffuser. The model also has a revised grille, front fender vents and a Roush-branded rear blackout panel. Other highlights include special graphics and a carbon fiber rear wing.

Customers looking for something more unique can order the optional Competition Pack. Designed specifically for track use, the package features lightweight Weld Racing wheels shod in Continental ExtremeContact DR racing slicks. The company said the tires enable the car to pull 1.14g on the skid pad.

Inside, there’s leather and suede sport seats with contrast stitching and embroidered backrests. The model also has a suede-wrapped steering wheel, a Roush-branded gear knob and special badging.

Production will be limited to 60 units and the model is slated to be launched in the spring of 2020.
