2021 Jaguar F-Type Sports Sleeker Styling And Possible Mild-Hybrid Powertrain

A convoy of Jaguar F-Type prototypes has been spotted leaving a Jaguar Land Rover facility.

Expected to debut sometime next year, the facelifted coupes and convertibles have a new front fascia that gives the car a sleeker appearance. This is long overdue as the model hasn’t changed much since it was introduced in 2013.

One of the most noticeable updates are the new headlights which have a slimmer appearance and a sweptback design. The F-Type also appears to adopt a new hood and a modestly revised grille.

Moving further back, we can see familiar bodywork and sporty side skirts. These appear to carryover, but the rear end adopts updated lighting units.

Spy photographers didn’t get glimpse inside the cabin, but we can likely expect a handful of changes. These could include a new steering wheel, updated switchgear and a revised center console. The model could also get a Touch Pro Duo infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster.

Jaguar is embracing electrification and has already confirmed future F-Types will be offered with conventional and mild-hybrid engines. As a result, the facelifted model could be equipped with an eco-friendly four-cylinder.

It remains unclear if there will be any other engine updates, but rumors have suggested the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 is going the way of the dodo. It could be replaced by a BMW-sourced 4.4-liter TwinTurbo V8, but nothing is official as of yet.
