The new 2020 Genesis G90 only recently launched in the United States, and already, Kelley Blue Book has had the opportunity to jump behind its wheel.
There are two engines on offer in the U.S. Sitting at the base of the range is the same 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 found in the the likes of the Genesis G70 and Kia Stinger GT, complete with 365 hp and 376 lb-ft (509 Nm) of torque. This engine is coupled to a rear-wheel drive system as standard and all-wheel drive as an option. Customers after a little more power can opt for a big 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated V8 with 420 hp and 383 lb-ft (519 Nm) of torque.

Design wise, the G90 looks radically different than its predecessor. Genesis’ designers went to town on overhauling the looks of the luxury sedan, adding a bold new front end complete with a huge grille. At the rear, modifications include re-styled taillights and new tailpipe trims.
Inside, changes over the outgoing G90 are minimal. As such, the car maintains the same basic layout and look of the 2019 model but does benefit from an updated 12.3-inch touchscreen display that includes support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Mirror Link, and also offers over-the-air software updates. One other interesting addition made to the 2020 car is an Active Noise Cancellation system to help isolate occupants from the outside world, which, according to this reviewer, works very well.
