Kia has confirmed that on the back of unexpectedly high demand for the all-electric e-Niro in the UK as well as demand for the Soul EV, it will ramp up deliveries of the two models.

In a statement, Kia revealed that the initial UK allocation for the e-Niro sold out within weeks of going on sale this year. Now, the South Korean company says it has sufficient supply to clear the existing 3,000 customer waiting list during the first six months of 2020. When these deliveries are out of the way, supply will increase further in the second half of the year.

As for the Kia Soul EV, it too is fitted with a 64 kWh battery and packs an electric motor with 201 hp. It is good for a range of 281 miles (452 km) in Europe.
