North America has been left without a Raptor version of the new Ford Ranger, but there are a few tuning companies that can turn Blue Oval’s mid-size pickup truck into an equally or even more serious machine.

Automotive Performance Group (APG) has an off-road performance package for the Ranger that takes care of both its looks and off-road credentials. It’s named the ProRunner Series 1 and will set you back $15,948 with installation, or $11,573 if you want to take care of the conversion on your own.

Designed and manufactured in California, the carbon fiber wide body makes the Ranger 10 inches (254 mm) wider and leaves room for tires up to 35 inches in diameter and a maximum of 12.5 inches (318 mm) of suspension travel. The new front and rear fenders are joined by other upgrades, such as the powerful winch up front and fuel neck extension kit complete with door.

The American company’s Series 1 package includes the long-travel suspension, with wider powder-coated upper and lower control arms, tie rod extension kit, extended CV axle shafts, front hub centric wheel rings and rear wheel adapters with additional lug nuts.

You could make the project costlier through several available options, including additional lights integrated into front and rear bumpers, rear aluminum bumper with D-rings and a custom roof rack with additional lights, among others. The aftermarket wheels shod in beefy rubber are not standard either, and the conversion does not include more power, which means that the 2.3L EcoBoost still puts out 270 HP and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque.
