Porsche’s hottest Cayenne Coupe variant has been spotted once again during testing, and this time you can also hear the thunderous growling sound from its souped-up V8 engine.

Expected to get the Cayenne Coupe GT name, this range-topping model will be based on the Turbo variant. This means it should get a tuned version of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 gasoline engine, likely offering a healthy power and torque increase over the Turbo’s 541 HP (549 PS) and 567 lb-ft (768 Nm).

Will Porsche go all out and offer the Cayenne Coupe GT in the same state of tune as the Lamborghini Urus? Possibly, though a non-hybrid Porsche coupe crossover with 641 HP (650 PS) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque would raise many eyebrows at Sant’Agata Bolognese.

Since there’s enough room between the Cayenne Turbo Coupe and Lambo Urus, a safer bet would be that the GT will split the gap between them. Therefore, the 670 HP (679 PS) Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe could retain its place as the most powerful model of the range.

Looking at these prototypes, the only thing that differentiates them from the Cayenne Turbo Coupe is the centrally mounted exhaust system with two double oval pipes replacing the quad setup. Don’t mind the fake exhaust trims on the sides as they will be deleted come production time, with a refreshed rear bumper expected to be part of the package.

A very exciting sound comes out of these big exhausts, as the video below shows. Will there be any other upgrades other than this sport exhaust? We don’t really know, but reports from Germany claim the model will be called the Cayenne Coupe GT.

If this is indeed a standalone model, Porsche should differentiate it further from the Cayenne Turbo Coupe. The package could also include a more aggressive front fascia and unique alloy wheels backed up by a high-performance braking system.
