The Dodge Grand Caravan is dead but its name will live on in Canada with the 2021 Chrysler Grand Caravan.

Exclusive to the Canadian market, the Chrysler Grand Caravan is nothing more, nothing less than a rebadged Chrysler Voyager, which itself is a rebadged entry-level Pacifica.

The 2021 Chrysler Grand Caravan looks exactly like the Voyager, with the ‘Grand Caravan’ badges being the only changes over its U.S. equivalent. It will be offered in Grand Caravan (base) and Grand Caravan SXT trim levels, with starting prices of C$37,995 (US$28,000) and C$39,995 (US$29,475), respectively.

Notable standard features include seven-passenger seating, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, 3.5-inch digital vehicle information display cluster, and the Uconnect 4 infotainment system with a seven-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone compatibility.

Available options on the Grand Caravan and Grand Caravan SXT include SafetyTec Group and Stow ‘n Place roof rack, with the SXT model also offering optional Cold Weather Group, Power Group, Trailer-Tow Group and single overhead DVD. Eight-passenger seating and second-row Stow ‘n Go fold-in-floor seats with in-floor storage and Easy Tilt seats are also available.

Both models feature a Pentastar V-6 gasoline engine rated at 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft (355 Nm) of torque. The standard transmission is a TorqueFlite nine-speed automatic.

“We’re incredibly proud to maintain the ‘Grand Caravan’ nameplate exclusively in the Canadian marketplace,” said David Buckingham, President and CEO, FCA Canada. “Particularly here in Canada, that name has become synonymous with affordable, safe and innovative family transportation that the 2021 Chrysler Grand Caravan builds upon.”

The 2021 Chrysler Grand Caravan is built alongside the Voyager and facelifted Pacifica at FCA’s Windsor Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada. The new model will go on sale in the third quarter of 2020.
