Presented for the 2017 model year and facelifted just a couple of months ago, the second generation Peugeot 5008 is now getting ready to serve and protect its homeland.

The French model has been chosen by the local Ministry of the Interior as a reference vehicle for the police and gendarmerie, and they have placed an ordered for 1,263 units, all of them made in the Sochaux and Rennes factories.

The 5008 police cruisers have been ordered in Artense Grey, whereas the gendarmerie ones will come in Sulawesi Blue and Bullseye Blue. Besides the colors, they will boast specific liveries and will be converted for the law enforcement agencies by the PSA Group at their Poissy plant, getting features such as emergency lights, communication gear and so on. Deliveries have already started and will run until the end of next month.
