There are very few road-going Ford RS200s in existence – and the Evolution is the rarest of them all.

Ford built 200 examples of the RS200 in order to meet homologation requirements for the World Rally Championship’s Group B series. Of these, just 24 were converted into Evolution models.

This car that is currently up for auction through Bring A Trailer was purchased by the seller in Norway in 2017 and was rebuilt in the UK before being imported into the United States in 2018. It is being sold with a tool kit, a leather-bound workshop and repair manual, receipts from the engine rebuild, a clean New Hampshire title in the seller’s name and has under 800 km (~500 miles) on the clock.

The exterior is finished in a simple shade of white and comes with Evolution-specific 16-inch multi-piece Speedline wheels with gray centers and polished lips that are wrapped in Falken FK451 tires measuring 245/45 at all four corners.

The cabin is spartan and features fixed-back bucket seats trimmed in gray fabric, a fire extinguisher, a gray dashboard, a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, and gauges to monitor fuel level, fuel pressure, voltage, and boost pressure.

Driving the iconic road-going rally car is a 2.1-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with an aluminum engine block that’s good for approximately 600 hp. Power is sent through all four wheels courtesy of a five-speed manual transmission and three Ferguson viscous limited-slip differentials. The listing adds that this engine was rebuilt in February 2018 by Geoff Page Racing of Maldon, Essex.
