With the release of their new Taycan Cross Turismo, a more rugged wagon version of their all-electric Taycan sedan, Porsche mentioned that the vehicle actually has some serious off-road chops. They intend to prove that in this video, in which they push it to the limit in two very different scenarios.

One location is a desert track in Saudi Arabia, while the other is a snow track in Finland. To reflect this, the car wears a split red and blue paint job with “+30°” and “-30°” printed in large lettering, each half representing the temperature extremes in degrees Celsius (+86oF/-22oF). The livery almost looks like the 917K‘s Salzburg Red paint scheme, which was also used on a Taycan sedan a few years ago.

While the two tracks may represent the two extremes in terms of temperature, they have identical layouts. That decision was mainly for editing’s sake to make for seamless transitions, but it doesn’t prove Porsche’s point any less. On both tracks, the Cross Turismo shows its prowess by gracefully sliding through corners with ease.

Equally as impressive as the driver’s skills are the videographer’s flying abilities. Using a RED Komodo, a FreeFly Wave, and a GoPro, they were able to capture this entire video with a drone. That on its own comes with its fair share of difficulty, and that’s before you factor in stunts like flying through a moving car’s window.
