This story includes independent illustrations of a Genesis GV90 made by Kolesa. The renderings are neither related to nor endorsed by Genesis.

Genesis is readying a new all-electric SUV to top out its family, potentially dubbed the GV90. We don’t yet know what the vehicle will look like, but these renderings provide us with a pretty good idea of one styling direction that Genesis designers may take.

Recent reports suggest that the GV90 will be based on the same Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and Genesis GV60. However, the GV90 will be much larger than these three models and will actually be larger than the current ICE-powered GV80.

These renderings from Kolesa depict the GV90 with a design obviously inspired by the all-new G90 that was previewed last week.

As such, it features a familiar Crest front grille and pronounced lower intakes directly below. The same Two-Line headlight lamps of the G90 have also been carried through and are slightly slimmer than those of the GV80.

The Genesis GV90 has also been rendered with doors handles that sit flush with the bodywork and has a set of large wheels with a silver finish. The G90 sedan inspiration continues at the rear with an identical light array that consists of two main tail lamp units and two LED light bars.

It remains unclear if the GV90 will look like the SUV in these renderings but we suspect it may look quite different as it could launch at a time when Genesis is producing nothing but EVs, meaning it may evolve its design language thanks to the versatility and packaging advantages offered by electric powertrains.
