Ferrari has released one final teaser of the new model it is set to introduce late today, April 19.

This short teaser video was shared to Twitter and shows what is widely expected to be the 296 Spider, potentially dubbed the 296 GTS. The video doesn’t provide us with a particularly good look at the car, other than showing its bright blue paint finish and a handful of interior features.

One of the images of the cabin that flashes up during the clip is the car’s small metal shifter which appears to be exactly the same as the shifter of the 296 GTB coupe. Much like the 296 GTB, the vehicle teased here has an all-digital instrument cluster.

Recent teaser images of the 296 Spider have indicated that it will sport a folding metal roof and Ferrari has tweaked the rear decklid to support the folding mechanism.

No other major changes are expected to be made to the 296 Spider. As a result, it will continue to be powered by a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that is assisted by an electric motor to deliver a combined 819 hp and 546 lb-ft (740 Nm) of torque. The Coupe tips the scales at 3,241 lbs (1,470 kg), which is quite impressive considering the hybrid powertrain. The Spider will likely gain a few pounds but will still offer more than enough performance for even the most power-hungry shoppers and collectors out there.

This new variant of the 296 GTB will not be the most important model that Ferrari launches this year. Instead, the vehicle expected to really put the performance car world on notice will be the Purosangue, Ferrari’s first SUV and set to launch as a direct rival to the Lamborghini Urus.
