Harley-Davidson’s eBike brand, Serial 1, recently unveiled its second generation of products and it has partnered with Google for them. The /CTY and BASH/MTN eBikes combine connectivity with two-wheeled expertise.

Capable of going up to 28 mph (45 km/h) in its fastest RUSH/CTY Speed trim, the BASH/MTN off-road version can go up to 20 mph (32 km/h) thanks to a motor that produces 66 lb-ft (90 Nm) of torque, which is more than early some Karman Ghias could muster.

In that mountain biking guise, it will be limited to just 1,050 examples, with 525 going to the U.S. and the remaining 525 allocated for sale in Europe. In either case, it does not feature a suspension.

“Less is more,” said Aaron Frank, Brand Director at Serial 1. “That’s the promise of BASH/MTN. No fussy suspension to tune, no finicky drivetrain to adjust — just two wheels, one gear, and one purpose, to provide the most direct connection between you and the trail. The less you worry about managing and maintaining technology, the more you can focus on enjoying every ride.”

Don’t worry, the duty of absorbing jumps doesn’t come down entirely to your coccyx. Instead, the bike gets big Michelin E-Wild tires and, more to the point, a shock-absorbing SR Suntour NCX suspension seat post. It also gets extra-strong four-piston TRP hydraulic disc brakes and a Yucca Tan paint finish with graffiti graphics.

The standard bike, meanwhile, gets more street-focused amenities and the manufacturer has partnered with Google to add several connected features. Owners can find their bike wherever they are in the world thanks to “Pinpoint Mode.” Route planning is also made easier with turn-by-turn navigation through Google Maps, and you can get a post-ride summary of your efforts as a result of real-time data that is being collected by the tech company. The bike also features an integrated USB-C charger to charge your phone while you ride.

“We are thrilled that Google Cloud has selected Serial 1 as an eMobility partner,” said Frank. “This means that Serial 1 will integrate Google Cloud’s new Intelligent Product Essentials software solution into its eBikes, enabling predictive, proactive, and intelligent features that provide a better eBicycle experience for every rider.”

Most trim levels (BASH/MTN, RUSH/CTY Step-thru, and the MOSH/CTY) get a 529 Wh removable battery, while the RUSH/CTY Speed has a 706 Wh unit. Prices run from $3,799 for the stripped-down MOSH/CTY to $5,599 for the high-performance RUSH/CTY Speed. The RUSH/CTY Step-Thru, meanwhile, costs $4,999 and the BASH/MTN rings in at $3,999.
