The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has quietly taken delivery of a Ford Mustang Mach-E.

While no official announcement has been made, a user over at Reddit recently snapped a photo of the all-electric crossover outside what appears to be some kind of FBI building.

Immediately making this Mustang Mach-E stand out from a regular one you’ll find on the street is the blue livery with large ‘FBI’ and ‘Police’ motifs, as well as a large badge on the doors. Unlike a typical law enforcement vehicle, however, the Ford lacks any visible flashing lights and shouldn’t attract too much attention to itself.

This particular Mustang Mach-E appears to be the sporty GT variant, as evidenced by the standard GT wheels and the unique front-end treatment. These wheels measure 20-inches at all four corners and are wrapped in 245/45 All-Season tires.

In terms of power, the Mustang Mach-E GT features a pair of electric motors that combine to produce 480 hp and 600 lb-ft (814 Nm) of torque. Those figures allow it to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds. The EV can also travel 270 miles (435 km) on a single charge and thanks to its electric all-wheel-drive system, offers handling far superior to more conventional crossovers, perfect for the FBI.

This is the first time we’ve seen the FBI using a Mustang Mach-E GT but it is not the first government agency to use the all-electric Ford. A number of police departments throughout the United States have introduced Mustang Mach-Es into their fleets. In fact, the New York Police Department ordered no less than 184 Mustang Mach-Es late last year.
