There are a lot of excellent cars coming to the market in 2023. In a recent question of the day, we asked you which ones you were most excited about. Here are your top five picks along with a few honorable mentions and one hilarious thing many of you said you’re not interested in.

Right off the top, let’s talk honorable mention picks. Our good Dr.Phil came up with a number of suggestions to which at least three of you agreed. Those vehicles are the new Mazda CX-90, the Toyota Prius, the Lexus GX/Toyota 4Runner, and the Sony-Honda EV (though this one wont arrive in dealerships until 2025, we might see a prototype closer to production next year). He also mentioned how nice it would be to see some sign life over at Chrysler or Buick.

Spots two through five are all a tie so we’ll start with the one that required multiple comments to get to the tying upvote count. That would be the upcoming Maserati GranTurismo Trofeo. It features an all-new platform and two very interesting powertrains including an all-electric one and the V6 from the MC20 supercar.

Above it comes the rumored announcement and release of a Ford Superduty Raptor. Back in November, we told you about how Ford’s engineering manager, Aaron Bresky said that “There’s nothing limiting this as far as I’m concerned, and we’re always listening to our customers… If customers are saying ‘we like the Tremor but where is the Super Duty Raptor?’ we listen to our customers.”

Ben also mentioned the finally updated Toyota 4Runner and the adjacent Lexus LX SUVs. This pair has long deserved an update and it’s exciting to see what will come next. Coming in second place is the Chevrolet Blazer SS EV. Dean and Brilliant mentioned it and the former said that photos don’t do it justice.

Atop everything else was the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N mentioned by TGB. It received five upvotes all on its own and we can understand the excitement behind it. N-version cars tend to be really enjoyable from behind the wheel. Hopefully, a heavy battery pack in the floor doesn’t mess up that good reputation.

Somewhat hilariously, a number of you very specifically said akin to “nothing electric. On the other side of the coin, the Kia EV9, the Cybertruck, the Cadillac Celestiq, and the Fisker Ocean all got votes. 2023 is shaping up to be a great year. Especially if a recent prediction that the Tesla Roadster is going to shock everyone by going into production ends up being true.
