Ford Mustangs are a dime a dozen nowadays but there are some out there that really stand out. This 1976 example is one of them.

Listed up for sale on Facebook Marketplace, this Mustang is truly unlike any other we’ve ever come across. While it is a 1976 model, you’d have a hard time identifying it as such because the rear half has been borrowed from a 2015 Mustang. This includes the taillights, decklid, and rear spoiler, giving the pony car a very intriguing look made all the more eye-catching by the bold body-colored diffuser.

The seller notes that the front bumper of the Mustang is bespoke while the grille and headlights have been retained from the original 1976 model. Other upgrades made include the fitment of the same independent rear end as the 2015 Mustang.

Found beneath the skin is a 1995 Ford Boss 302 H.O. engine displacing 5.0-liters that produced as much as 240 hp at 5,000 rpm in its heyday. This engine has been upgraded with new rockers, lifts, and cams. Other modifications made include 20-inch wheels and tires, shaved exterior door handles, and remote entry.

Curiously, no images have been posted of the Mustang’s interior but the seller says that it has been re-upholstered. Mileage details are unclear, although the seller suggests that he has driven it just 50 miles before winter came.

And the price? The seller is asking $27,500, which is quite a lot but that’s the price you pay for something unique, I suppose.
