Two glorious restomods produced by Kindred Motorworks in the Bay Area are heading to Barrett-Jackson’s auction in Scottsdale, Arizona running from January 21 to January 29. But before you get too excited, the vehicles won’t be available to purchase and will simply be put on display.

The first model is dubbed the Chevrolet Camaro LT that is available to purchase from $199,000. Each Camaro LT built by Kindred is outfitted with a 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V8 that has been tuned to deliver 650 hp and 630 lb-ft (854 Nm) of torque while driving the rear wheels through a six-speed Tremec T56 Super Magnum manual transmission. Those who find shifting their own gears to be a little too laborious can order the Camaro LT with an 8-speed automatic transmission sourced from GM.

All too often, tuners will make significant powertrain upgrades to a classic muscle car but fail to make complementary changes to a vehicle’s braking systems. Not the case here. In fact, Kindred has fitted 14-inch discs and six-piston calipers up front as well as 10.5-inch discs and six-piston calipers at the rear.

The car’s handling has also been improved with the fitment of independent rear suspension and double-adjustable front coilovers. Kindred also fits a set of 19-inch wheels measuring 9.5-inches at the front and 11-inches at the rear and clad in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 ultra-high-performance summer tires.

Shoppers who don’t want to deal with 650 hp and 630 lb-ft can also order a Camaro LS model from Kindred Motorworks. It starts at $149,000 and has a naturally-aspirated LS3 V8 with 480 hp and 475 lb-ft (644 Nm) of torque.

Then we come to the second vehicle heading to Barrett-Jackson. It started out life as a Chevy 3100 pickup truck but the original engine has been replaced with an electric motor outputting 294 hp and driven by a 74 kWh battery pack that offers 200 miles (320 km) of range. The pickup also benefits from double wishbone front suspension, four-wheel power disc brakes, power rack and pinion steering, a rotary gear selector, and LED lighting.

Plenty of creature comforts help to broaden the appeal of the restmod and make it much more useable. These include keyless entry, power windows and locks, and even heated seats. Audiophiles will also welcome the aftermarket sound system with a subwoofer, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Prices for Kindred’s Chevy 3100 electric pickup truck start at $159,000.
