Kia has taken the wraps off a very special EV6 at the Milan Design Week, one that has been built ‘brick by brick’ from LEGO.

The 1:1 scale model of the Kia EV6 uses more than 350,000 LEGO bricks and took over 800 hours to bring to life. It was commissioned by Kia Italy and assembled by BrickVision, an Italian company founded by the country’s only LEGO Certified Professional, Riccardo Zangelmi. Not only does the model do an excellent job of mimicking the exterior design of a road-going EV6 but it even has a functional lighting system.

The piece has been dubbed ‘Brick To The Future’ and according to Kia, serves as a symbol of a “new and inspiring path towards sustainable mobility.”

Kia Is Bringing A Full-Size LEGO Model Of The EV6 To Milan Design Week

Following the car’s debut at Milan Design Week from April 17, 2023, it will be exhibited at the Kia Energy House in Rome.

The Kia EV6 has received plenty of praise since its launch in 2021 and earlier this month, the high-performance GT variant was named the World Performance Car of the Year in the 2023 World Car of the Year Awards. Having driven the EV6 GT comprehensively last year, we can’t say we’re surprised that it received this prestigious honor, given how well-rounded it is not just as a performance car but also as a family car and one that feels just as home in a city as it does on the open road.

The car manufacturer recently followed up the EV6 with the launch of the EV9 SUV. This new model will sit at the top of the Kia family and in the not-too-distant future, will also spawn a GT version.
