Brabus has just unveiled the Brabus 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition ‘1 of 25’ and is based on the Mercedes-AMG SL63.

As with most projects from Brabus, the German tuning experts have worked their magic on the car’s engine. As such, the 4.0-liter V8 now features a pair of high-performance Brabus turbochargers and the company’s ECU tune, raising the output to 740 hp and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) comes in just 3.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 196 mph (315 km/h).

While some SL63 owners may be hesitant to give their new sports car to Brabus, the tuner does offer a three-year or 100,000 km / 62,000-mile warranty for its engine upgrades.

A host of work has also been done on the aero and the overall design of the Mercedes. The front includes a new spoiler that doesn’t just look good but also reduces front-axle lift. You may also notice that the front air intakes have swelled in size and that there are new carbon fiber accents around the intakes and the grille.

Brabus has also equipped the SL63 with carbon fiber front fender attachments, a carbon fiber rear diffuser, and a subtle lip spoiler at the rear. The tuner has also revived the three-spoke wheel design that it first introduced in the 1980s albeit now the wheels are forged and much larger. In fact, the front axle has 21×10.5-inch wheels with 275/35 tires while the rear axle is equipped with 22×12-inch wheels with 335/25 tires. The ride height of the car has also been dropped by 25 mm while retaining the front lift function.

Completing the upgrades are various interior changes including embossing on the visors and seat bolsters, square leather quilting, high-gloss carbon accents on the steering wheel, center console, and doors, as well as new pads on the pedals and scuff plates with an illuminated Brabus logo.
