The Bentley Continental Flying Spur is a really special car but for at least one owner, it wasn’t special enough. They reportedly dropped over six figures converting this one to their very own one-of-a-kind ute. Now, the whole finished car can be yours for not much more than they paid for the conversion alone.

This example from 2005 rolled off of the Bentley production line as a four-door sedan. It still features its original engine, a 6.0-liter W12 that makes a factory-rated 560 hp (412 kW) and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) of torque. When it was new it would’ve retailed for around $165,000 in the USA.

According to the ad over on PistonHeads, the seller spent £120,000 ($152,000 apx) or so getting the conversion from sedan to ute completed. Let’s take a look at some of the things that it’s kept and some of the things that are completely unique to this one-off example.

This W12 Bentley Flying Spur Is Either The Coolest Or Dumbest Ute Ever

The front cabin looks completely unchanged from original. It still features enough wood to fill a forest and what looks like at least one full cow worth of leather. The seats have suede inserts and the word Decadence stitched into them. Evidently, that’s the name of this creation. The center console houses a fully-functional infotainment system with a backup camera and integrated navigation.

Outside of the front seats though, the back half of this Bentley is all new. The pickup bed area features a lot more wood along with what looks like anchor points and four doors that could be storage or access points. The wood bed naturally transitions into decking on each side of the bed. The bodywork design that blends the bed into the cabin looks pretty smooth too.

It’s available right now for £149,000 ($189,000 apx) with just 35,000 miles on the odometer. That almost sounds like a deal considering everything that’s gone into it. Honestly, we can’t figure out if this thing is an awesome no-respect-for-tradition working man’s custom or if it’s all of the worst things about a car in one less-functional-than-original package.
