- Genesis unveiled the G90 Wingback concept at a Magma event in France.
- The model is a wagon version of the G90 sedan with performance upgrades.
- It follows the G90 Coupe and Convertible concepts shown earlier this year.
Genesis caught our attention this week with its mid-engined Magma GT concept, presented alongside the production-bound 2027 GV60 Magma performance EV. The pair took center stage at a special event at France’s Circuit Paul Ricard, but they weren’t alone on the grid. Joining them was something rather unexpected, in the form of the G90 Wingback concept.
This newcomer takes the form of a wagon based on the G90 flagship sedan, effectively imagining what a BMW 7-Series Touring, Mercedes-Benz S-Class Estate, or Audi A8 Avant might be if such models existed.

While the idea alone is interesting enough on its own, Genesis couldn’t resist adding a few visual, performance and chassis tweaks from its Magma division to heighten the appeal.
The front end features a slimmer grille and aggressive bumper intakes with a diamond pattern. The side vents prove that the front fenders are wider that stock, covering the larger alloy wheels shod in performance tires.

As with any proper sports wagon, the centerpiece is the reworked roofline and rear profile. A ducktail spoiler rises above full-width LED taillights, capped by a pronounced roof spoiler. Beneath it all sits a rear diffuser framing four exhaust tips.

Genesis hasn’t shared technical data for the concept yet, but the lower stance compared with the sedan suggests some chassis work beneath the surface. A more potent engine under the hood also seems a safe assumption.
Will It Enter Production?
The sexy wagon follows in the footsteps of the well-received G90 Coupe and Convertible concepts unveiled in April 2025, continuing Genesis’s quiet push to broaden its top-tier lineup, even if none of it has yet materialized in showrooms.

For now, the company remains quiet about production plans, leaving the G90 Wingback’s future a bit of mystery. Frankly, we’d be pleasantly surprised if Genesis went ahead and built it, though.
With full-size luxury sedans caught in an existential crisis, sales falling like a rock across most markets, and brands like Lexus abandoning the segment altogether, it’s difficult to see a wagon like this becoming anything more than an engineering flex or a short, limited production run. Time will tell if that assumption holds true.
