- Prime Video officially confirmed new hosts for The Grand Tour.
- Thomas Holland, James Engelsman, and Francis Bourgeois join.
- The rebooted series debuts later this year with six episodes.
The Grand Tour is steering into a new chapter, following the farewell of its legendary trio in the poignant finale of September 2024. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May left the series on a high note, closing an era defined by chemistry, chaos, and combustion.
Now, the road ahead is clear. The show will return in 2026 on Prime Video, with a fresh team of presenters whose names have just been revealed.
Who’s Taking the Wheel Next?
The keys to the tent have officially gone to Thomas Holland and James Engelsman, best known for their YouTube channel Throttle House, and viral trainspotter Francis Bourgeois.

In a video posted to The Grand Tour’s official Instagram, Clarkson is seen flipping through applications for his successor.
After tossing aside a CV from James May on the grounds that it was “dull”, he offered his stamp of approval to the new lineup. Holland, he called “a funny man”, Bourgeois became “the train man from the internet”, and Engelsman was noted for having “once reviewed a car using only sarcasm”. Clarkson concluded, “Let’s get them in. They look good.”
The upcoming season will stick closely to the original formula, delivering six new episodes. According to a report from Variety, the team will hit the Angolan desert, delve into Malaysia’s vibrant car culture, and put American performance machines through their paces in California.
Generational Shift
Amazon’s casting choices point to a shift toward a younger demographic. Holland and Engelsman currently have 3.35 million subscribers on their Throttle House YouTube channel, while Bourgeois draws 2.6 million Instagram followers and 3.3 million fans on TikTok.

As reported by The Independent, Bourgeois commented on his appointment: “The saying ‘big shoes to fill’ springs to mind. Well, in this case, it’ll be like Mo Farah running in Size 14 wellies – it’ll be a little awkward at first, perhaps blister-inducing, but will overall be an interesting watch.”
The reboot, marking Season 7 of the franchise, is set for a global launch across more than 240 countries and territories on Prime Video. Production is being handled by Studio Lambert, the team behind The Traitors and Squid Game: The Challenge.
