• Only 250 examples of this carbon fiber bicycle will be built.
  • Bugatti partnered with British firm Factor Bikes to develop it.
  • In the US, pricing starts at $23,599, above a Corolla’s MSRP.

High-end carbon fiber bicycles are expensive and can easily stretch deep into the four-figure range and often brush up against five. Still, it’s rare to see one priced above a brand-new Toyota Corolla straight from the showroom. Yet that’s exactly what we have here.

Bugatti is best known as a purveyor of some of the world’s fastest production cars, and has decided to bring its obsession with speed into the cycling world. To do so, it’s partnered with Factor Bikes in the UK, an expert in racing bikes. The finished creation, dubbed the Bugatti Factor One, is limited to just 250 examples worldwide and like Bugatti’s road cars, utilizes exotic materials in its construction.

The bike has a complete carbon-fiber frame designed to cut through the air with minimal resistance, and it has been adorned with a characteristic Bugatti Blue two-tone paint scheme. There’s also a massive white Bugatti script running down the frame, so anyone who spots you riding this bike will instantly know your pockets are overflowing with cash.

Carbon Everywhere You Look

Beyond the carbon frame, the Factor One includes ultra-lightweight wheels that weigh just 1,298 grams (2.8 pounds) per pair, thanks again to the carbon fiber construction. The bike even has a carbon fiber seat post, a carbon chain ring, carbon crank arms, and disc rotors with a central carbon body. Bugatti and Factor One even collaborated with Continental on a set of custom tires for it.

“The Bugatti Factor One is not simply a bicycle,” Factor Bikes founder Rob Gitelis said. “It is a statement. This project challenges us to rethink every assumption and push engineering boundaries in the same way Bugatti has done in the automotive world for over a century.”

Bugatti stays quiet on pricing, but Factor Bikes fills in the gap, confirming a starting figure of $23,599. Which, in case perspective is needed, is more than a brand-new Toyota Corolla at $22,925. Yes, a bicycle that costs more than an actual car.
