What has 700 hp, 611 lb-ft of torque, four-wheel drive, and can sprint to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.2 seconds? While these figures may sound like something you’d expect to see from perhaps a high-powered sedan, estate, or SUV, they’re instead for Hennessey’s new Chevrolet Silverado ZR2-based Goliath 700.

To make the already capable pickup truck even more brutish, Hennessey has fitted a twin-screw supercharger to the 6.2-liter V8, hence why it’s been able to achieve such massive gains of the ZR2’s standard 420 hp and 460 lb-ft (624 Nm). The 4.2-second sprint to 60 mph is also well down from the standard model’s 5.6-second time.
Of course, there’s much more to the Goliath 700 ZR2 than simply a boosted engine. The tuner has tweaked the BDS suspension and Multimatic DSSV shocks, claiming they’ve improved “control, stability, and driver confidence” on the road and while off-roading. There are also new upper control arms, 20-inch off-road wheels with 35-inch tires, and a custom stainless steel catback exhaust with black tips.
Looks To Match
Performance upgrades aren’t that much fun when your car seems stock, so Hennessey has also ensured its Silverado ZR2 looks the part, too. Fitted up front is an all-new steel bumper with a 40-inch LED light bar. There’s also a new front skid plate and a steel rear bumper. A pair of electronic power running boards has then been added.
“The Hennessey GOLIATH 700 ZR2 is designed for customers who want extreme power and capability without compromising on usability and comfort,” Hennessey president Alex Roys said. “We deliver performance dominance and heaps of presence by combining powertrain and chassis upgrades with comprehensive exterior and interior styling enhancements. We’ve created a truck with purpose that feels just as confident on the highway as it does tackling challenging terrain.”
Rounding out the tweaks are all-weather floor mats, embroidered headrests, and serial number interior plaques. Hennessey will build just 100 examples of its Goliath 700 ZR2, each priced from $139,950.
