Few vehicles project presence quite like the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. That upright stance, the squared-off body, the sheer sense of intent, it all works. Still, for some owners, stock is just a starting point. The aftermarket has long catered to that mindset, offering everything from restrained upgrades to the kind of excess favored by outfits like Mansory and Brabus.

Larte Design is the latest tuner to release a slew of upgrades for the off-roader. There’s no doubt its modifications will be a little too dramatic for some, but they’re certainly not the craziest we’ve seen. As you’d expect, the entire kit is built around carbon fiber, a material typically chosen because it weighs next to nothing. On a G63, that logic stops exactly there.

The centerpiece is a fully exposed carbon fiber hood, complete with vents and louvers intended to help manage engine bay temperatures. Joining it are carbon fiber accents added to the front bumper, including a sharp splitter. Shoppers can also option a set of aftermarket wheels, finished in black with carbon accents.

The changes continue along the sides and up top, where a carbon light bar sits across the roof and new side skirts extend the visual width. Out back, things escalate again. Matte black tailpipes replace the standard finish, while a sizable carbon spoiler perches above a revised spare wheel cover. A reworked rear bumper and diffuser complete the transformation.

All of the parts included with Larte’s kit are made from pre-preg carbon fiber and have been TÜV certified. There’s no word on how much they cost, but they’ve been specifically developed for the 2026 G63 and are produced entirely in Germany.

A Business Opportunity For Mercedes?

Given how many aftermarket companies offer, we think Mercedes is missing out on a potentially lucrative business opportunity. It’s obvious that G-Class owners love personalizing their vehicles, so perhaps Mercedes would be wise to start selling a broader range of accessories and upgrades for the G, much like how BMW M sells a large range of M Performance parts for some of its vehicles.

If G owners could buy carbon fiber kits directly from Mercedes, they absolutely would. They would not ask about weight savings. Nobody ever does.
