Try finding an S-chassis Nissan that hasn’t spent the last three decades getting thrashed, drifted, and welded back together. Now try finding one with low miles. This 1996 240SX for sale in the States is the rare survivor that clears both bars, and it might be one of the cleanest examples left in the country.

This generation of the 240SX, also known as the S14, was offered in several differential configurations. This one is a lower-spec SE model, meaning it lacks the 2.0-liter turbocharged SR20 four-cylinder the car is best known for and instead uses a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four. This engine delivered 155 hp and 160 lb-ft (217 Nm) of torque when it was new, driving the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.

The key appeal for this 240SX is the fact that it’s been driven less than 9,500 miles (15,288 km), likely making it one of the lowest-mileage examples in the US. Not only has it been driven very little, but no significant mechanical modifications have been made to it. That said, the car isn’t completely original, the Cars & Bids listing notes.
It now rides on a set of Koni shocks and Eibach lowering springs, has a Stillen front strut tower brace, an aftermarket muffler, and a new rear sway bar. It also includes an aftermarket intake; otherwise, the engine is stock. Some exterior tweaks have also been made, including a new front lip, side skirts, rear spats, and rear spoiler.
In general, the car looks to be in exceptional condition. However, interested buyers should note that the side skirts and rear spats have exposed screws attaching them to the original bodywork. If the car is to be returned to stock, these holes will need to be patched and painted.

As for the cabin, it’s absolutely pristine and is also all-original, except for the aftermarket double-din head unit with Apple CarPlay. The coupe was also recently ceramic coated, so it should continue to spark in red for years to come.

Most surviving S14s have been through ten owners, three engine swaps, and at least one questionable ride-height decision. This SE skipped all of it, which makes the screw holes in the side skirts the only real evidence anyone touched it. Forgivable. Go put in a bid over here before someone with a drift project in mind does.
