A new BMW M3 is coming. But you already know that. Replacing the 414hp unforced induction V8 engine of the current model, the heavy-breathing straight-six is pegged to deliver somewhere around 450-ponies.
It will likely be connected to a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual clutch transmission (despite some rumors about BMW getting rid of the stick shift version) that drive the rear wheels.
Being based on the F80 platform, the M3 will be slightly bigger than the current model, but the use of lighter materials will actually bring the weight down.
A beefed up body along with a re-trimmed interior and a specially tuned chassis will complete the upgrades over the regular 3-Series sedan.
