BMW’s new M2 Coupe will make its world premiere at this week’s SEMA Show where it will be displayed for the first time dressed in M Performance Parts.

It will be joined in Las Vegas by an M Performance modified M4 Coupe with both models sporting BMW’s newly-styled “M Performance” insignia that will eventually be used on the entire product portfolio.

The first tuning parts for the newly announced, but still a few months away from customer deliveries, M2 coupe, from BMW M’s sub-division, mainly comprise of styling and aerodynamic components.

On the outside, these include black gloss trimmed kidney grilles and fender gills, plus carbon fiber mirror caps, rear wing and tailpipe finishers. For the interior of the SEMA Show M2, BMW’s M Performance unit added a thicker-rimmed steering wheel with Alcantara cover and an open-pore carbon fiber trim element that’s also used on the gear lever and the center console, and stainless steel pedal covers. The only true performance improvements are a newly-developed sports suspension and a sports exhaust with a ‘flap system’.

BMW said that further details of its M Performance Parts for the M2 Coupé will be announced in Spring next year.

The other car on display at the Bavarian brand’s SEMA Show stand will be an M4 Coupe chock-full with M Performance goods. Standout items include front bumper inserts in carbon fibre (CFRP), high gloss black trimmings, racing stripes, a rear wing, a stainless steel exhaust duct with a rear silencer made entirely of titanium with carbon fiber tips, a new steering wheel rim in Alcantara Anthracite and LED door projectors, among others.

According to the Germans, the first M Performance components for the M4 will become available in January of 2016, with the entire range of parts to arrive at the brand’s dealer network by June of the same year.
