Everything you need to know about the first major motor show of 2016, that takes place in Detroit starting from January 11, with the press preview, before it opens for the public on January 16 through 24.

While a few brands will be absent from this year’s event, including four British carmakers – Bentley, Land Rover, MINI and Jaguar, plus California-based Tesla, the show hosts more than 40 world and North American premieres.

Among other significant debuts, Volvo will bring its new S90 executive sedan that will be joined by Mercedes-Benz’s rivaling next-generation E-Class. Speaking of premium cars, the Hyundai Group’s newly born Genesis brand will present its first model, the G90 sedan that replaces the current Hyundai Equus, while Lincoln will pull the covers off their new Continental flagship.

We’ll also see a number of facelifts such as the Infiniti Q50 that gains a new, 400hp twin-turbo V6, Mercedes’ re-named SLC that replaces the SLK, and Porsche’s updated 911 Turbo and Turbo S rockets.

We’ll be updating our list throughout the show week, so bookmark this page and check back for all the latest developments.
