The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 isn’t the only six-wheeled vehicle to pop in our radar these days, as the Renault T 430 truck made it in the news.

The 6×2 trucks were commissioned by the Bank of France and Renault has just delivered all units to its newest customer. The vehicles were developed for the Bank of France and they feature a special kind of armored plating and a modified wheelbase.

This is also why we opted for full air suspension so that the vehicle can be lowered when it has to operate in spaces with limited headroom“, explained the Renault Trucks sales manager, Bruno Carrara, after mentioning its increased maneuverability.

The automaker didn’t provide any details on possible performance modifications made to the T 430s commissioned by the Bank of France, but the stock 6×2 meets the Euro 6 emission standards and it sends 430hp to the wheels, through a 12-speed automatic gearbox.

The truck’s maximum front axle load is 6,700kg (14,771lbs), it has a loading capacity of 15,951kg (36,166lbs) and a total weight of 24,900kg (54,9895lbs).

The Renault Truck T is produced, in Bourg-en-Bresse, France, since 2013, when it was introduced as a successor for the Magnum.
