Two years after Toyota dropped the Camry RZ from their Australian family, the name has been revived for a new special edition.

Priced from AUD $28,490 (USD $20,995), it builds upon the entry-level Altise with black styling enhancements that include a sports mesh grille, halogen headlight inserts, side mirror casings, boot-lip spoiler and rear diffuser, joined by RZ decals.

The Camry RZ also benefits from 18-inch gloss-black alloy wheels, wrapped in low-profile rubber, twin exhaust pipes, sports suspension system, two gloss paint colors available at no extra cost – Diamond White and Cherry, and three other premium shades, priced at AUD $450 (USD $330) – Silver Pearl, Graphite and Eclipse Black.

Equipped with front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, 3-spoke steering wheel, 4.2-inch multi-info display, RZ-branded floor mats, keyless smart entry and smart start and an assortment of safety features including vehicle stability and traction control, brake assist and rearview camera, the Toyota Camry RZ will be produced in just 1,100 units, over a 3-month period.

Each one is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, rated at 181 HP and 235 Nm (173 lb-ft) of torque, that returns 7.9 lt/100 km (29.77 mpg US).
