The British Saloon Car Championship was established in 1958, but by the time it was renamed the series was evolving in one of the most exciting motorsport disciplines in the world. Cars like the Ford Sierra Cosworth, BMW M3 and Mercedes 190 2.5 were competing against each other, settling automotive bar brawls on the track.

The car pictured here is Tim Harvey’s Labatt’s sponsored 1991 BMW E30 M3 that won the series finale at Silverstone, took two podiums in the season, and finished 8th overall. The M3 conforms to the 1991 set of regulations, featuring a wide array of modifications, including a relocated fuel tank, side exhausts and six-speed dog-leg gearbox.

Having retained its original livery since its days of racing, it is in really good condition, both mechanically and aesthetically. It has swapped hands between racing enthusiasts, and recently competed in the HSCC Super Touring Car Challenge, so is fit to continue turning its wheels in anger.

Although the ad on Racecarsdirect.com doesn’t list a price, Bring a Trailer says it will cost you 150,000 GBP (~$182,000).
