The Grand Tour’s Opening Episode To Feature Hammond’s Rimac Crash

Details of the first episode of The Grand Tour’s second season have been announced and it’s the one we’ve all been waiting to see.

Dubbed Past, Present or Future, the episode will see Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May driving the Lamborghini Aventador S, Rimac Concept_One, and Lamborghini Aventador S through the stunning roads of Switzerland.

As we all know, Richard Hammond was badly injured during the filming of this episode after crashing the Concept_One at a hillclimb event. The episode will include footage of the incident but it could be limited as the onboard cameras were destroyed in the crash and ensuing fire.

The episode will also debut the new Celebrity Face Off segment. It will see former The Voice UK judge Ricky Wilson going up against David Hasselhoff.

The episode will drop on November 8 on Amazon Prime.

Should change November 8th to Dec 🙂

It should write “in a bad accident”, not “badly injured” as the article suggests

    • I’d say a broken leg is pretty bad..

      • fabri99

Eh, in such a car crash I would have expected worse.

    – Lamborghini Aventador S, Rimac Concept_One, and Lamborghini Aventador S
Few basic errors in the article..

    • Dennis James

Maybe there were two Aventador S 🙂

  • Donal Maher

Pretty sure it’s a Honda NSX going by the picture, not a second Lambo.

This show bores me. I can barely make it through the episode. I don’t know what it is, I guess bad editing. I would think that the same crew would have the same magic, but something is off and I can’t put my finger on it.

How about recruiting some new young blood. I’m their age and have no interest in watching these “old” guys.

    • TheBelltower

New blood would help. I don’t care about the age of whoever it may be. But the formulaic schtick between these three guys has become very boring.

    • Bananarama

Go watch the new Top Gear? 90% of the appeal for GT is this trio.
I’m a third their age and love watching these “old” guys.
