This Must Be The Most Epic Save We’ve Ever Seen At The Nürburgring!

How many people can honestly say they drove flat out on the Nürburgring? Not that many, obviously, but the driver of the grey Daihatsu Cuore you’ll see in the following video is probably one of them.

Now, the first question that comes to mind is, who on Earth drives an old, 54-hp Daihatsu Cuore on the Nordschleife? Well, apparently this man does…

The video posted on YouTube on August 25 by the Racingfun Nordschleife channel shows only a few seconds of the Cuore’s performance, but they are enough to showcase some supernatural reflexes from the driver.

We first see an E46 M3 going pretty fast and clean through the corner, only to be followed by a Cuore that goes airborne for a split second after riding the inside curb. The car is on its two left wheels and it seems inevitable that it’ll flip over. Yet, somehow, its driver manages to keep it under control and tilt the car in the opposite direction, allowing the right wheels to touch down and prevent what looked like a big accident.

To top it off, he also had the presence of mind to slam on the brakes in order to avoid hitting the guardrails after landing. If this isn’t a strong candidate for Nürburgring’s epic save of the year, we don’t know which one is. The people who saw the entire scene live were certainly amazed, judging from their enthusiastic cheers and applause.

  • karmat

Awesome. I wonder if the last second counter steer was intentional.

    • ace_9

Sure it was. The same way as all fast and furious stunts are real. Believing that somebody can do this on purpose is just an ignorance of physics laws, human biology and psychology…

  • Christian

Bet he/ she or what ever of the 69 genders out there… made the car seat brown?

    • karmat

To be so dismissive of the 69 genders is hate speech bro. You need to list them all.

      • Christian

is that true? Have too look that up. But if, i’m deeply deeply sorry 🙁

    • i identify as a water glass and my shit is clear

  • Dennis James

It was between luck or a genius driver 🙂

    • ace_9

No no, you must be the genius. The driver almost flipped the car and then corrected it. All completely on purpose just to amuse the spectators. But you see straight through it. You know that he was just showing of his reflexes and car control.

      • Dennis James

Actually you must be the genius. It seems that in your genius view, there was no driver ever that did a dumb move on a track which he then saved at the last moment. So stupid…

  • Gullet

With rear view mirrors like that you don’t need a roll cage.

  • fabri99

I thought rolling a Daihatsu Cuore at the Nurburgring was only possible on a Gran Turismo of old.

  • Paul

    That was incredible.

  • Abu Sayyaff

Chuck Noris behind the wheel .. have no doubt !!

  • FullBoreV8

That was lucky. Very lucky. Good save!

  • annon

holy shit!!, that car was literally parallel to the asphalt at one stage, kudos to the driver

  • wait a minute
