The Paris Motor Show kicks off next week and it appears Toyota has a surprise up its sleeve.

In a short tweet, Toyota Europe confirmed the company’s press conference will include the unveiling of a new concept. There’s no word on what the concept is, but we’ll find out on October 2nd.

While Toyota is staying tight-lipped, the mysterious concept could be the Gazoo Racing GT86 that was teased earlier this week. The original tweet has since been deleted, but it said “It’s all about the passion for speed. #GT86 by Toyota Gazoo Racing.”

The GR GT86 was originally expected to be a production model, but it’s possible that the company will simply preview the car in Paris with a concept and then introduce the road-going variant later. Of course, that’s just speculation at this point and the concept could be something else entirely.

Regardless of what the concept is, Toyota is using the Paris Motor Show to focus on hybrid technology and the TNGA platform. As part of this effort, the company will show a number of hybrid models which are based on the aforementioned architecture.

The most prominent will be the Corolla Touring Sports which is celebrating its global debut in Paris. The model will also be joined by the Camry Hybrid and RAV4 Hybrid.

Other models being shown in Paris include the Yaris Y20 special edition and the Yaris GR Sport. Toyota’s display will also include the TS050 Hybrid LMP1 race car and the Le Mans trophy.
