Getting rear-ended is a traumatic experience even in the fortunate event that the accident is without injuries.

Imagine the surprise a man had when he realized that the driver of the Volvo XC60 that had just hit his Ford Fusion was allegedly drunk. As if that wasn’t distressing enough, the reckless driver was casually sipping a beer in the middle of the Yellowhead Highway in Alberta, Canada.

To the Fusion driver’s credit, he held his nerve and didn’t fall prey to rage. Instead, he started filming the intoxicated driver, probably to have some sort of proof to show to the police. Unsurprisingly, the other guy put on quite a show.

When he realized he was being filmed, the Volvo driver accused the other guy of punching him, implying that it was only after the assault that he started drinking. The thing is the video reveals the XC60 contained several opened beer bottles, so his theory would have been hard to believe.

That “minor” detail likely prevented him from lying his way out of the incident. We don’t know how the story ended as the video stops before the police arrive at the scene. However, we hope justice was served; alcohol and driving do not match – period.
