The Toyota Supra is back after a 21 year absence and the company is marking the occasion by launching a new ad campaign that highlights their latest sports car.

Designed to showcase Toyota’s sports car heritage, the “This Is Our Sport” campaign “highlights the thrill of getting to know the 2020 GR Supra and a rediscovered appreciation for the simple joy of driving.”

The campaign consists of multiple ads and the 30 second spot is called “Track Day.” Set to Julie Andrews’ “Getting to Know You,” the commercial was previewed at Toyota’s media event in May and shows the sports car tackling Road Atlanta.

Toyota will also be showing an assortment of six second clips called “0 to 60”, “Balanced”, “Face Off”, “Joy”, “Ribbon”, “Sport Mode” and “Walks On Water.” Toyota released two of them today and “Joy” shows a yellow Supra doing a burnout to create a happy face. The other six second spot, dubbed “Face Off,” plays up the Supra’s heritage as it shows the 2020 GR Supra coming face-to-face with its predecessor.

The videos were directed by Ozan Biron and the 30 second spot will be shown during motorsports programming on TV. The ads will also be shown on a number of popular websites and including social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and Instagram. There will also be a print component and even an augmented reality integration.

The 2020 GR Supra will be launched later this month and pricing starts at $49,990. The model was built in partnership with BMW and features a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that produces 335 hp (250 kW / 340 PS) and 365 lb-ft (494 Nm) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels via an active differential. This enables the coupe to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in approximately 4.1 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
