Bugatti unveiled its Centodieci special at the Monterey Car Week earlier this month and the presence of the EB110 SS-inspired hypercar attracted a handful of original EB110 SS models to the various events held throughout the week.

Perhaps the most amazing EB110 in attendance was an example finished in gloss carbon fiber. This is believed to be the only example in existence with an exposed carbon body and it looks truly phenomenal. It was such a head-turner that at one of the Monterey events it was parked alongside an all-white Koenigsegg Jesko.

The carbon fiber body isn’t the only thing that makes this EB110 SS special, as it is alleged that it is actually one of just five Dauer SS models. After Bugatti went bankrupt in 1995, the remaining EB110 parts were sold off to German company Dauer Sportwagen, who went on to build five additional examples.

Powering the ‘standard’ EB110 was a quad-turbocharged 3.5-liter V12 pumping out 553 HP. The SS bumped that up to 603 HP and it is rumored that the Dauer models may have as much as 705 HP on tap.

Buying one of these five cars doesn’t come cheap and a look online reveals that London dealership Joe Macari was selling one back in 2017 for a cool $1.16 million. We imagine their value has only increased following the launch of the Centodieci and Bugatti’s acknowledgment that the EB110 is one of its most iconic models.
