Callaway Bringing Its Chevy Camaro SC630 Package To Canada

Horsepower-hungry Camaro enthusiasts in Canada have a new vehicle to fawn over in the form of the Callaway Camaro SC630.

The most powerful variant of the current Camaro, the ZL1, costs in excess of $70,000 in the Great White North, but for less money, the Callaway SC630 is available from GM dealer Wilson-Niblett Chevrolet in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

The SC630 is based on the entry-level Camaro LT1 and adds a twin-screw supercharger and a high-flow intake system to the muscle car’s 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine. As the name of the package implies, this boosts output to 630 hp and 610 lb-ft (827 Nm) of torque, significant gains over the 460 hp and 455 lb-ft (617 Nm) of torque of the standard model.

In the United States, prices for a Callaway Camaro SC630 start at $52,990, significantly less than the $63,995 commanded by the Camaro ZL1. While Canadian pricing for the Callaway hasn’t been announced yet, GM Authority notes that it shouldn’t be much different than in the U.S. once converted into Canadian dollars.

Admittedly, a Camaro ZL1 features various other performance-focused modifications that the SC630 lacks, but if all you want is straight-line performance, Callaway’s upgrade package will probably do just fine.

What’s particularly noteworthy about Callaway’s SC630 package is that it does not void the Camaro’s standard factory warranty. Not only that, but it also comes with its own three-year/36,000 mile factory warranty for all the Callaway parts and components.
