There are supercars and then there are hypercars – and the Bugatti Chiron Sport is one of the fastest hypercars on earth.

Unveiled by Bugatti back at the Geneva Motor Show in 2018, the Chiron Sport was one of the first high-performance variants of the Chiron, arriving before the likes of the Super Sport 300+ and the limited-run Pur Sport. A pair of them recently attended an event hosted by the Supercar Owners Circle in Switzerland and watching them sprint down a runway is a sight to behold.

Of the two Chiron Sport models that are featured in this video, the first is painted in satin white and has the sunroof option. As eye-catching as this Bugatti is, though, it’s not the most striking example that attended the event. Instead, a Chiron Sport with a dark green carbon fiber finish takes those honors.

The two rare Bugattis raced a host of other cars during the exclusive event. In the first race, the green Chiron Sport lines up against the one-off Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse L’Or Blanc that crashed at the event. In another race, the white Chiron Sport races a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster. Both get off the line very well but, unsurprisingly, the Chiron ultimately leaves the Aventador for dead.

The Chiron Sport is distinguished from the standard version thanks to more carbon fiber parts, a stiffer suspension, a torque vectoring system, minor aerodynamics modifications, and new tailpipes. Its powertrain, though, remains unchanged, meaning that it’s powered by a quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 pumping out 1,479 hp.
